“Lakruwana”, the Sri Lankan gourmet restaurant was born on the 6th of September 1995 in the city of New York, located at 358 West,44th and 9th Avenue.

Humble beginning with a seating capacity of 20 , catering mostly to Sri Lankans living and working around the city of New York and also to “Spicy” US nationals who loved a dish of Spicy find and the tourist who came to visit the city, which “never sleeps”.

Subsequent expansion up to 85 seating capacity was due to increase of visitation of US nationals who loved a spicy plate of Sri Lankan food which not only brought them new experience in fine dining but also were aware that the ingredients used in making Sri Lankan Cuisines were medicated products, helps to prevent many diseases.

Most of the spices used in making Sri Lankan dishes are indigenous to Sri Lanka.

“Lakruwana”, the Sri Lankan gourmet restaurant is located at 668, Bay Street, Staten Island dish through which we considerable period of time.
